Day Programs
You will be a part of a team that provides individualized therapy while also offering education in a small, therapeutic classroom setting. In CASA’s day programs, children attend as they would a community school. The family and care team work together to support the child’s social, emotional, academic and physical development. Areas of focus include social skills, academic functioning, and emotional and sensory awareness.

Shift structure: Monday to Friday, 7.25 hours per day
Primary location: CASA Centre

Status: Temporary until June 2027

The Program Supervisor provides clinical and service delivery support, staff oversight including program area orientation, day-to-day operational management and participates in performance management. They lead staff development and training, advise and implement program development, as well as evaluation and quality improvement.

About the Role
The Program Supervisor provides day-to-day hands-on support to an interprofessional team. The Program Supervisor provides clinical and service delivery support, staff oversight including program area orientation, day-to-day operational management and participates in performance management. They lead staff development and training, advise and implement program development, as well as evaluation and quality improvement.
The Program Supervisor will:
- Support program staff to utilize a holistic and high-quality model of assessment and treatment planning that is family-centered, trauma-informed and inclusive of biological, psychological, social, and cultural factors for the patients and their family.
- Oversee the program referral, intake and admission processes, based on program inclusion/exclusion criteria and present ‘exceptional case’ referrals to Program Manager for final approval.
- Provide in-the-moment coaching, role modeling and direction to program area staff.
- Review and complete patient safety event forms.
- Lead program staff debriefs following safety events.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated leadership ability, with excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to excellence in all aspects of the discipline including clinical practice, supervision and education.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to new or unexpected situations, flexibility in approach to interpersonal situations.
- Ability to monitor clinical practice standards and relevant acts and legislation.
Qualifications and Experience
- Master’s or doctoral degree in a relevant health discipline (e.g., psychology, social work, occupational therapy, nursing, etc.) from an accredited institution is required.
- Must be registered with the appropriate regulatory body for the health discipline in Alberta. In some situations, a national registration may be acceptable.
- A minimum of five years clinical practice in child and family mental health and/or youth addictions.
- Demonstrated clinical supervision experience, particularly in settings focusing on specific populations such as children and adolescents.
Conditions of Employment
- A satisfactory Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Search and Child Intervention Check. This would be the financial responsibility of the successful candidate.
- Ability to pass and maintain Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) certification (training provided by CASA) or Supporting Individuals through Valued Attachments (SIVA) training, as well as physical ability to perform all interventions.
Working Conditions
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Ability to travel between CASA sites as required.
- Must be able and willing to lift and carry up to 10 pounds.
