The Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility (IDEA) Coordinator will:
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the IDEA department.
- Oversee the department's email inbox, manage calendars and maintain organized documentation.
- Coordinate meeting logistics, prepare necessary materials and assist in creating reports and presentations.
- Develop and refine presentations, reports and briefing documents for department leadership.
- Manage and update data in IDEA-related tracking systems and databases.
- Maintain and curate the IDEA cultural calendar, ensuring it aligns with departmental goals, and assist in planning and promoting cultural events and observances.
- Organize and manage logistics for events and program development, including venue bookings, speaker arrangements and catering coordination.
- Support employee engagement initiatives, coordinate IDEA-related training sessions and assist in managing external partnerships and resources.
Qualifications
- Certificate in business or administration is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., business administration, human resources, social justice, communications, or related disciplines) is preferred.
- Minimum of two to three years of recent work experience that includes IDEA project/process management, engagement and administrative support for implementation of multiple projects and initiatives.
- Event coordination experience, ideally in a diversity, equity and inclusion or human resources context.
- A passion for diversity, equity and inclusion, ability to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment and familiarity with cultural best practices or a demonstrated interest in IDEA initiatives.
- Experience in organizing events, managing calendars and handling logistics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello, etc.).
